Calculation for Standard Type A

 

Information needed too make the size calculation
– kW on the drive side
– Speed  (r.p.m.) on the drive side
– Shaft diameter on the drive side

Calculation:
Step 1: Kw x 9550 / Speed (rpm)  =  ”result” are Nom. Mom in Nm.
Step 2: Make the choice of size according to the “result” Nom. Mom. in the table (catalogue)
Step 3: Make a final check if the size can handle your shaft diameter in the table (catalogue)

Example (Electric motor drives a centrifugal pump)
55 x 9550 = 350Nm.

Shaft dia. Motor – Ø65 mm
Shaft dia. Pump – Ø42 mm

Calculation for Spacer Type CS

 

Information needed too make the size calculation.
– kW on the drive side
– Speed  (r.p.m.) on the drive side
– Shaft diameter on the drive side and driven side
– Distance between shaft ends (DBSE)

Calculation:
Step 1: Kw x 9550 / Speed (rpm)  =  ”result” are Nom. Mom in Nm.
Step 2: Make the choice of size according to the “result” Nom. Mom. in the table (catalogue)
Step 3: Make a final check if the size can handle your shaft diameter in the table (catalogue)
Step 4: Spacer length  (Distance between shaft are the same as the space length, ex. 140 mm)
